WWE Special to Win Daily By President Powers With a kickoff show that started at noon ET on Thursday, WWE fans will be treated to another Saudi Arabian spectacle, as the reigning champion of sports entertainment presents the second annual “Crown Jewel” event. As usual, WWE doesn’t skimp on headline-worthy material, so names like Hulk. The final betting odds for all of the matches that will take place at the WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view event have been released. The card for the show that takes place Thursday (October 31, 2019) has been finalized as only 8 matches have been announced. The WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view event takes place on November 2nd, 2018 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at the King Saud University Stadium and will air on the WWE Network. SkyBet (via SportsKeeda) has released the updated odds for the World Cup tournament at WWE Crown Jewel. Seth Rollins appears to be the new favorite to win the tournament.
WWE Crown Jewel is on a Thursday afternoon because SmackDown was moved to Fridays. The matches start at 1:00 PM ET and will last around three hours. Let’s break down the main matches and share a pick or two.
WWE Championship: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Cain Velasquez
Velasquez’s history with Lesnar in the UFC is well-documented and I won’t get into that. I’m honestly not a fan of how Velasquez arrived to WWE and how they’ve used Rey Mysterio and his son Dominick in the story.
I also don’t agree with him getting a WWE Championship match as soon as he arrives. Fox obviously wanted Lesnar as the WWE Champion to have a legitimate fighter as the face of SmackDown (sorry but Kofi Kingston’s championship reign was awful) and a match with Cain Velasquez sells itself, which also why I think that involving Rey Mysterio in the feud is pointless.
Velasquez is a threat to Lesnar but he should not win the WWE Championship in his debut match in WWE and just his second wrestling match ever! Lesnar just won the WWE Championship, he will likely keep it for some time.
Cain Velasquez can’t lose either… I would make them have a long feud and this match with a double countout or something like that. I have no action here, it’s a hard pass for me.
Braun Strowman vs. Tyson Fury
This match was made to help lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (29-0-1, 20 KOs) promote his rematch with Deontay Wilder, which is expected to take place in 2020. Fury fought Wilder to a split draw on December 1, 2018 in Los Angeles and regarding this match with Strowman, I’m sorry but I don’t have much to say, I’m not looking forward to it.
I just never saw anything good in Strowman, not even when he was with the Wyatt Family. What is the big deal with him other than his size? I particularly dislike how he’s become Big Show 2.0. Fury can’t lose this and most likely won’t. He’s an undefeated boxer, I don’t see him losing a wrestling match but I can’t bet on this.
Team Hogan: WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns (Captain), Rusev, Ricochet, Ali and Chad Gable vs. Team Flair: Randy Orton (Captain), King Corbin, Bobby Lashley, Shinsuke Nakamura and Drew McIntyre
This match will feature Drew McIntyre, Shinsuke Nakamura, Randy Orton, Lashley, Ali, Ricochet and Chad Gable, all very talented wrestlers who are always fun to watch so I can’t complain about their involvement. This will be an exciting match.
While they will likely make Roman Reigns stand tall and finish with the entire Team Flair by himself, I like the price I am getting with Team Flair because of how strong Drew McIntyre has been booked since coming back. Also, there’s always a chance that it will come down to McIntyre and Reigns with King Corbin distracting the latter to make his team come out on top. It would also help extend their feud and promote their match on next Friday’s SmackDown.
McIntyre was the last member they announced for Team Flair, he beat Ricochet in a great match on the October 21 episode of Monday Night Raw before destroying him afterward and he was a first-round draft pick of that brand for a reason. I will bet on this to be his time to shine.

WWE Universal Championship Match (Fall Count Anywhere): Seth Rollins (c) vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt
Rollins could not beat Wyatt in their terrible Hell in a Cell Universal Championship Match, which was called off via a referee stoppage because Wyatt could not continue… only for him to get up and attack Rollins…
Rollins is the top babyface in the company, at least he is supposed to be that but he has been booked poorly, particularly in this feud with Wyatt, as his actions make him seem like a heel.
Wyatt won’t lose, at least not in a clean fashion. Maybe The Undertaker will appear and help Rollins. That’s the only way I can see Rollins winning.
Take “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt because of the betting value, there’s a slim chance that WWE wants to surprise fans and finally do the right and a championship changing hands at WWE Crown Jewel would make the event feel like more than a big house show.
Free Pick: “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt +140 at 5Dimes
